Ecclesiastes 11:4 (AMP)
4 He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].
I read the above scripture and thought of the many times I have talked myself out of doing something because I thought the conditions was not right and I know I am not alone.
Joshua Chapter 3 tells the story of Joshua leading the children of Israel to cross a flooded Jordan river on their way to the land of promise. In our human thinking this is the worst time for them to even attempt to cross the Jordan river because it is flooded yet in Gods calendar this was the right time to do it and so they did. In this life, opportunities come and go and many times they are hidden in a crisis or wrong timing/ conditions and many miss out because in our minds we are thinking it’s not the right time.
The bible tells us that he who waits for the right conditions will never sow seed because many times the right conditions will never present them-self. There will always be something off or something lacking but that does not mean we wait, no, we jump out in faith. Faith is trusting that God will do what He has promised even when the conditions seem not to be right.
Remember how Isaac wanted to go down to Egypt because there was a famine in the land but the Lord directed him not to do so. Verse 12 tells us…
Genesis 26:12-14
12 Then Isaac planted [seed] in that land [as a farmer] and reaped in the same year a hundred times [as much as he had planted], and the LORD blessed and favored him. 13 And the man [Isaac] became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and extremely distinguished; 14 he owned flocks and herds and a great household [with a number of servants], and the Philistines envied him.
The conditions were not right yet Isaac sowed in faith and God gave him a hundred fold harvest.
Have you been putting off doing something because you are waiting for the right conditions? Chances are you will never get it done because you may never have the right conditions. Jump out in faith TODAY and start the process towards doing what you have putting off for a long time. Step out in faith and see God meet you to see it through.
Just do it!
