Word for Today-I am Afraid

I am Afraid

Overcoming Procrastination
Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the LORD will be exalted and safe.

Fear has to be the enemy’s favorite weapon. Through fear the enemy has been able to kill steal and destroy many people’s dreams and calling. Fear will paralyses and stagnate you, fear will cause you to make procrastination your companion for a long time.
We sometimes procrastinate because we are afraid of someone and what they might think. We keep postponing that which we know must be done because we are afraid. The fear of man brings a snare. A snare is a trap or a noose that goes around your neck robbing you of your potential and life. It holds you captive and you are not able to make any kind of progress. Trusting in the Lord and putting your confidence in Him will cause Him to exalt you and keep you safe.

One of the first things that God tells Joshua when he takes over to lead the children of Israel is not to fear!

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

I believe the Lord would say the same thing to you today. Do not allow procrastination to be your companion anymore because you are afraid. Its time to arise and do what you know needs to be done, it’s time to make progress.

Psalm 118:6-7 (NKJV)
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
7 The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.

This should be your guiding scripture anytime you begin embracing procrastination because you are afraid of man, remember God is with you and besides, what can man do to you?

Remember, you are not where you ought to be because you keep putting off what you know MUST be done!
