Matthew 9:28 (ESV)
28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
Do you actually believe that God is able to do what you are asking Him to do or you? Do you believe? Do you really believe?
Two blind men follow Jesus, crying out to Him saying; “Jesus son of David have mercy on us!” They follow Him to the house he enters and this is where Jesus asks them; “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” When they say yes, Jesus touches their eyes and says; “According to your faith be it done to you.”
According to your faith, not according to His power or might, according to your faith, what you believe.
Hebrews 11 tells us; Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
God is able to do what He says He will do but just because he can do it does not mean that it will happen. You need faith to attract Him into the affairs of your life. Faith unlocks the door for God to do mighty things in your life for remember the same Hebrews tell us;
Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Matthew 13:58 (ESV)
58 And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.
That is the story in many people’s lives. Jesus is not able to do much because of their unbelief.
When it comes to your situation, do you say you believe yet with the same mouth you confess doubt when there seems to be a delay?
Regarding your situation, Jesus would ask you today; “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” if you say yes, then hold on and keep holding on to your conviction even when it seems to be taking long or the situation seems to be getting worse. If he raised Lazarus from the dead, four days in the grave already rotting, be assured He is never late, He is always on time!
