Who is the Holy Spirit? Walking in the Spirit

John 14:16 (AMP)
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—

We are living in times like we have never seen before. The whole world is under attack and the Corona virus pandemic is causing anxiety in the lives of many people. We are seeing nations that pride themselves in military might and medical advancement overwhelmed not knowing what to do and how to contain the spread of this virus and they are calling out for help!
Jesus promised that he would ask the father to give us the Holy Spirit who would be our help and as well be with us forever.
But who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, He is one with God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit is omni present meaning he is everywhere at the same time.
The bible says He is our helper.

John 14:26 ESV
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

From the verse above we see that he is also our teacher, to teach us all things and also to bring to remembrance all that Christ has taught us.

He is also referred to as the Spirit of truth meaning He knows all truth because He knows the very mind of God and He guides us into that truth. What a reassurance to know that, because there are so many messages our here clamoring for our attention and it is important to know which voice to listen to so that we may not be led astray.
The Holy Spirit lives in us which is a wonderful truth to know because it means wherever we go He is right there with us and we can stand on the promise that he will never leave us.
He is the very power of God, the very same power that raised Jesus from the dead, the very same power that was present at creation and He live is us. Wow what a privilege to know that and to walk in that truth.

Even in the pandemic that we are facing, we are not alone. The Holy Spirit is here with us and He will guide us into the truth that has made us overcome. May we learn how to fellowship with Him, may we learn to hear His voice and to walk in obedience.
