Ephesians 2:6-7 (AMP)
6 And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus,7 [and He did this] so that in the ages to come He might [clearly] show the immeasurable and unsurpassed riches of His grace in [His] kindness toward us in Christ Jesus [by providing for our redemption].
Have you ever been to the top of the tallest building in your city? If you have not, make a point of doing so because you will get the opportunity to see your city from a whole new perspective. You will probably see things you have never noticed before and I am sure you will see the beauty in some things that you probably never take notice of. You will see how things connect one with another. Will anything change? Not really, but your perspective will change and that will change your perception.
What is your perspective when you go through life? If you are born again then you should always remember that you have been raised together with Christ and you ARE not will be but you ARE presently and continuously seated with Christ in heavenly places. What kind of heavenly place is this you may ask.
Ephesians 1:18- 21
18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the [a]hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the [b]saints (God’s people), 19 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength20 which He [c]produced in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and world but also in the one to come.
God has seated us in a place of “immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power” This power is already in us who believe. You have it and I have it, it is there but you have to understand your position and the power available in you for you to activate and exercise it. Christ is seated in a place that is “far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and world but also in the one to come”. We have been seated there together with Him because we are in Him and He is in us.
That should bring forth a shout of “Hallelujah!” from your lips. God set us up from the get go to be victorious and blessed.
The enemy may look big vicious hairy and scary like goliath did, and if you don’t have a revelation of who you are, where you are seated and the power already in you, you will hide in fear like the army of Israel. BUT, if your eyes have been opened and you know your position in God through Christ then like David you will pick up your 5 stones and run towards Goliath.
