JOHN 11:25-26 AMP
Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies; and everyone who lives and believes in Me [as Savior] will never die. Do you believe this?”
It is one thing to make such a bold statement, but then to actually go on and do it, that’s a whole new level.
Lazarus a friend of Jesus falls sick and his sister’s Mary and Martha send for Jesus to come and help him. Instead Jesus deliberately waits for 2 days before making the trip. By the time He gets there Lazarus has been in the tomb 4 days and the body is already decomposing. Jesus calls forth and Lazarus comes from the tomb alive.
Fast forward and Jesus is crucified He dies and He is buried. Before all this happened He had declared that He would rise up after three days. Though they put up a huge stone over the tomb, though they put a seal on the stone that covered the tomb, thought placed guards to guard the tomb Jesus still rose from the dead just like He had predicted. Death could not hold Him back.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He raised Lazarus from the dead and He also came back from the dead. This is the reassurance that we have;
ROMANS 6:5 AMP
For if we have become one with Him [permanently united] in the likeness of His death, we will also certainly be [one with Him and share fully] in the likeness of His resurrection.
Jesus is the life. Many today have swallowed the deception of the devil that they can have life a part from Jesus. They have believed the lie that giving your life to Jesus is to live a boring restrictive life devoid of pleasure and fun. Little do they know that the devil is baiting them and leading them to eternal death. Jesus said in;
JOHN 10:10 AMP
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
Satan will deceive you with what looks nice but his agenda is always to steal from you, kill you and destroy you. Jesus on the other hand has one agenda, He came that we may have and enjoy life to the full. Whom will you trust?
