Stewardship of Gifts and Talents

1 Peter 4:10 NKJV
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
God has given to each one of us gifts and talents and the first steps of being a good steward is to embrace these gifts and talents acknowledging that they come from God. For you and I to be good stewards we must understand the purpose for which these gifts have been given to us.
The purpose of the gifts is so that we can minister to one another being good stewards of Gods manifold grace. We are all gifted differently and no one gift makes an individual superior to another. These gifts are not for personal gain to show how spiritual we are. When we go down that road then we open up the door for pride to take residence in our life and as we know, God resists the proud but he exalts the humble.
Good stewardship means faithfully using our God given gifts to serve humanity and having an eternal perspective recognizing that one day we will all give an account of how we used that which God gave us.
Reflective Thoughts.
Do you know the gifts and talents God has given you?
Whom are you serving with your gift and talent?
How can you be a better steward of your God given gift?
