PSALM 18:34 AMP
He trains my hands for war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
The devil is the accuser of the brethren and he has one agenda to kill to steal and to destroy. That should tell you and I who believe in Jesus that it is not going to be one easy ride, it’s a war zone and the enemy will look for any opportunity to take us out. Christianity is not one easy walk in the park. The Bible tells us not to be ignorant of the enemy’s schemes. God has such amazing promises He has given to us but just because God said it does not mean that the enemy will allow us to have it all. No, he will come after us to try and discourage and derail us from Gods purposes. He will wage war to frustrate us and to cause us to lose focus of God our father.
The good news is we don’t have to battle it out with the enemy with our own strength because Christ made an open show of the enemy and He has given us the authority to trample over snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the powers of the enemy. God Himself trains our hands for war and as long as we trust Him and walk with Him, then we are guaranteed of victory each time every time.
The battle belongs to the Lord and it is already won but we still have to get into the ring. Just like with the children of Israel who seemed like the underdogs against all their enemies but when they walked with God, he gave them the victory every time so it is with us today. The opposite is also true, when they walked in disobedience and relied on their own strength, they were overcome by the enemy even though God had promised them the victory. Our victory is guaranteed only when we walk in obedience to God’s word
As the scripture says,
Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?
Stand firm and prepare for warfare with the understanding that Jesus has already secured the victory for us, let us then trust Him.
