Sowing and Reaping.

Genesis 8:22
22 “While the earth remains,Seedtime and harvest,Cold and heat,Winter and summer,And day and nightShall not cease.”
One of the principles that God set in place to govern life on earth is the principle of sowing and reaping. The principle dictates that whatever you sow is what you will reap. Infact the bible stresses on this point in this manner;
Galatians 6:7 (AMP)
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.
In the farming world this is greatly understood and the farmers exploit and use this principle to their advantage. There is no farmer in any part of this world who sows beans and expects to reap water melons, no, what they sow is exactly what they reap. Gods precepts cannot be scornfully set aside, God will not allow it. This principle stands no matter who you are and what part of the planet you are in.
Sadly we have lied to ourselves that this principle works only in the farming world. The reasons I say this is because when it comes to the other areas in our life we somehow get surprised when we reap exactly what we have sowed. Somehow we expect that we can sow hatred and reap love and kindness. We expect that we can sow bitterness and un forgiveness in our relationships and reap something good. When the same comes back to us we are shocked.
We always need to be aware of the fact that as we live life we are always sowing, as we relate with others we are consistently sowing. What we need to ask ourselves is what are we sowing? Is it something we would want to get back? If it is not then we had better change what we are sowing because remember as the bible says God will not be mocked, what you sow is what you get back.
As the verse in Galatians continues to say;
Galatians 6:8
8 For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
You and I have a choice, may we exercise caution and wisdom in what we sow.
