Philippians 2:14-15 NKJV
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
A large family sat around the breakfast table one morning. As the custom, the father returned thanks, blessing God for the food. Immediately after, however, as was his bad habit, he began to grumble about hard times, the poor quality of the food he was forced to eat, the way it was cooked, and much more. His little daughter interrupted him, “Dad, do you suppose God heard what you said a little while ago when you were giving thanks?” “Yes,” the father replied with the confident air of an instructor.” “And did He hear what you said about the bacon and the coffee?””Of course,” replied the father with a note of caution in his voice.” Then his daughter asked, “Dad, which did God believe?”
Have you ever been there? Giving thanks religiously and then with the same breath complaining about the very thing you have just given thanks for? That is an indicator that your heart is not in the right place and you need an attitude adjustment.
Think about Job and the attitude he had while he went through his trial. The enemy thought that Jobs attitude would change when he was striped of everything and he would curse God but that did not happen. Job stayed focused and maintained the right attitude and God gave him double for his trouble.
Having the right attitude means knowing the God that you profess and serve. When you know Gods character then you will maintain the right attitude even when he seems silent because you know that he promised that all things will work together for your good.
Remember, in everything give thanks for that is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus.
Reflective Thoughts.
Does your attitude towards God change based on what you are going through?

Do you trust God enough not to complain or murmur even when he seems silent and there is trouble all around you?

When you know Gods nature and character and His love towards you then you will always have an attitude of gratitude and thanks giving. How well do you know him?
