Provision for the Vision

Matthew 2:11
11 And after entering the house, they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then, after opening their treasure chests, they presented to Him gifts [fit for a king, gifts] of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

When God sends you, He ensures that you have the resources that you need. The wise men came bearing gifts, I am sure Mary and Joseph were not expecting this kind of thing but God had already gone before them to make provision available.
Sometimes when God calls us into something, one of the main concerns is provision. How will I make ends meet? This then becomes an avenue for the enemy to sow seeds of fear in our lives and the fear freezes us such that we are not able to move forward.

Luke 22:35 (AMP)
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you out without a money belt and [provision] bag and [extra] sandals, did you lack anything?” They answered, “Nothing.”

When God sends you, He is well able to provide for you. He is the God who provided manna in the wilderness for Israel; He is still the same God who ensured that when Israel left Egypt they left with the riches of Egypt because they would need resources later on.
This is the God who caused Ravens to bring meat to his prophet, in a year of drought.
Has God called you?
Are you afraid because you do not have resources?
Fret not my friend because He is able to provide;

Philippians 4:19 (AMP)
19 And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Reflections
Do you panic and doubt when it seems like you don’t have enough resources to do what God has called you to do? Why?

Do you tend to give freely or hold on tightly when it comes to resources?

God provided food and water for His people in the wilderness even though they nagged and complained almost all the time…. What do we learn from that about His nature?
