My Identity in Christ: How Does God See Me?

2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
One famous story in the Bible is the story of Gideon. How he saw himself and how God saw him were completely different. Because of how he saw himself, he and the whole nation continued to live below the standard that God wanted them to.
Judges 6:12-15
12 When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”
14 The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
15 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”
Are you and I living below what God desires for us simply because of the way we see ourselves? Gideon broke free when he got the revelation of who he was and the fact that God was with him.
