Galatians 3:13 AMP
Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs [crucified] on a tree (cross)”—
One of the things I find very intriguing especially in our African setting is that we have such a preoccupation with curses even amongst believers. It is easier for us to believe that we are cursed as opposed to believing that we are blessed. Every other issue that happens to us leads us to believe that we are cursed no wonder many run from one deliverance meeting to another and they never quite seem to gain their freedom. Some believers even resort to consulting witch doctors.
John 8:36 AMP
So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.
The death and resurrection of Christ paved the way for you and I to be set free from the curse of the law and when he set us free we have been made free in deed.
As believers we should talk about the blessing of God over our life because we have now been made new, the old things have passed away behold all things have become new.
On that cross there was the great exchange because Christ who was blameless took on our sin and the curse that was upon us and in return gave us his righteousness and the blessing that comes with it.
Proverbs 26:2 AMP
Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, So the curse without cause does not come and alight [on the undeserving].
Because you are a new creation in Christ Jesus then no one has a cause to curse you, let me put it in another way;
Numbers 23:8 AMP
How shall I curse those whom God has not cursed?
Which thoughts are you more preoccupied with; thoughts of blessings or thoughts of curses over your life?
What is your understanding of being made new in Christ Jesus and righteousness through faith in Him?
If you truly believed that you are blessed and highly favored of God what would you attempt to accomplish?
Go forth and do what God is leading you to do, no curse can hold you down you are blessed and highly favored.
