Led by the Spirit

John 14:16‭-‬17 AMP
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

When God seems silent, the bible is there to remind us of what Jesus said,and to bring us back to the right perspective.
Jesus promised to ask the father to give us a helper, one like Jesus and the father. This helper will be our comforter and advocate. He will be our strength and counselor and the best part is, he will be with us forever.
Now that’s an amazing promise. When we read the book of Acts, we know that as Jesus was about to ascend back to heaven, he told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high. We see the Holy Spirit come down on them on the day of Pentecost and they are empowered to be witnesses.
What was the promise once again?
That the Holy Spirit will be with us and in us forever. We know that He came and he will never leave o he is with us even right now as I write this and as you read it he is with you.

In those times that you feel like God is silent, you are never alone. The Holy Spirit is always with you, and He knows the heart and mind of God as well as yours. What we need to do is to learn to fellowship with him, learn to hear and recognise his voice and allow him to teach us, strengthen us and lead us.
Are you a child of God? Then listen to what the bible says;

Romans 8:14 AMP
For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

May we learn to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, may we learn to draw strength from him, we are never alone.

Reflective Thoughts.
Are you led by the Spirit of God or by your feelings and circumstances?
Have you trained yourself to hear and obey that still small voice especially when you are walking through the dark seasons?
The promise still stands today, you are a child of God, the Holy Spirit is with you and in you, allow him to strengthen you and lead you.
