Know God’s Word

1 Kings 17:9 KJV
Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

Elijah is at a place where his supply has run out. The brook has dried out and he is no longer safe staying where he is because there is no provision. God speaks to him and directs him to go to a widow in Zerephath. God says He has commanded the widow to sustain the prophet.
Now you would expect the widow to be well able with enough resources to sustain herself and the prophet but alas, that is not the case. She is also in need and about to make her last meal.
I love the boldness of Elijah. He tells her to make a meal for him first and when she does so, the prophet makes a bold declaration, a declaration of faith based on the word that he received from God. Her barrel of meal and her oil were multiplied for many days.
What had the Lord spoken to you? Have you interpreted it well?
Are you bold to declare His truth even when the situation in the natural looks very different?
To finish strong we must walk with God, we must listen to His voice and we must act in faith.

What is the word of the Lord to you?

What do you do when the natural contradicts the word of God over your life?

What are you declaring?
