Keys to Victory – Suit Up!

Ephesians 6:10-12 (NIV)
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Every once in a while, I love watching a good action movie. One of the parts I enjoy is when the main character is getting ready for the final battle, and you have them suit up putting on their armor and loading their weapons. That’s the time you sit at the edge of your seat because you know it’s make or break and things are about to get hot.
Weather we are aware or not, you and I are in a battle. We live in a war zone and we need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. How do we do that? By putting on the whole armor of God. We don’t put on just a part of it, No, the bible tells us to put on the FULL armor of God.

What would you think if you saw a soldier walking in to the field of battle and they had no armor on or they had put on just part of their armor? I am sure you would think they are crazy, but isn’t that what many of us Christians do?
Are you trying to fight the enemy without the full armor of? No wonder the enemy keeps knocking you down all the time, simply because you are exposed. Most likely if you take note, he keeps hitting you in the same area every now and then because without any armor you are exposed.

You and I have to remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities and rulers of this dark age. Every day you and I walk into the battle zone and yes, the battle is not ours it belongs to the Lord and so does the armor.
Read the whole chapter of Ephesians 6 to fully understand what this armor is all about.

Before you get out into the battle zone, make sure you suit up!
