Proverbs 31:15
She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a homemaker. She places great value on her household and her marriage and she takes the time and effort to invest in it. She is a hard worker who rises up even at night to ensure that her family and her maidservants have something to eat. This tells me that she has a heart of service and she loves people because although she has maidservants who should be serving her, she has no problem waking up early before they do in order to ensure that they are catered for.
Proverbs 31:11
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.
This is a woman who values her marriage and she has been able to build trust with her husband and her children call her blessed. Though she is busy with lots on her plate, she takes the time to invest in her marriage because how else do you build trust in a relationship except to invest time and intimacy? This is a woman who has found a balance between her marriage, home life and other activities that she is overseeing.
Proverbs 14:1 (NKJV)
The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a wise woman who builds her home, her husband and children are blessed and in peace. Her husband is known at the city gates and her children call her blessed. Not only does she build her home, she also has a good reputation in the community thus her husband is respected at the city gates.
Who can find such a virtuous woman? Is she real?
I believe with God as a foundation, any woman can be a Proverbs 31 woman. She is not a perfect woman. She is simply a woman who loves God wholeheartedly and has found her identity in God and allowed God to mold her and change her.
You too could be the Proverbs 31 woman.
