Finding God in Your Weakness

2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭11:30‬
“If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness.”
Preferred Discussion
The Corinthians goaded Paul into boasting about his accomplishments. It pained Paul beyond imagination to do it, but he relented. He knew his resume was more impressive than anyone the Corinthians could put up, so it was fruitless to even talk about it. After he is done, he tells them that if he has to boast, it will be how God worked through his weaknesses. He was not too proud to admit his faults.
Struggle with Shortcomings?
Do you struggle with admitting you have weaknesses? Are you quick to make excuses if someone points them out or teases you? No one is perfect, and recognizing your shortcomings will help you get farther in life. If you feel the pressure to show that you have it all together, you will only find frustration if someone judges you for areas where you fall short you need to learn to look past the criticism. All that matters is how Jesus looks at you.
Finding God in Your Weakness
Finding God in your weakness is vital to your spiritual growth. It is in those areas where He chooses to work. If you resist being used in areas where you are struggle you will miss out on the joy that Paul expresses in this passage. He has seen God do amazing things in areas where he struggled. It wasn’t comfortable at first, but the finished product was better than anything Paul could do on his own. Give God the freedom to work in your weak areas.
