Faith Speaks

Matthew 17:20 (AMP)
20 He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, [a]if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

If you have faith… you will SAY! Faith has a voice, faith does not keep quiet but it declares and proclaims. Faith has a powerful voice. One of the things I have realized is that you will know someone’s faith or lack of it through the words that they speak. In the same manner, doubt has a voice and you can hear it in the lives of many people because it can also get loud.
I think of the young David running towards Goliath. He did not do so with his mouth closed. Faith spoke and David declared some pretty bold things because that is what Faith does,

1 Samuel 17:45-47
45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a [n]javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. 46 This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that this entire assembly may know that the LORD does not save with the sword or with the spear; for the battle is the LORD’S and He will hand you over to us.”

David’s heart was bursting with faith and it had to be expressed. Remember this is a young man with no experience in battle, no armor shield or sword running towards an experienced warrior, a giant of a man who I am sure had worn many battles, a man who had been able to intimidate a whole army and yet David runs towards him with such a bold and powerful proclamation.
Are you a man or woman of faith? What are you proclaiming? Remember out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks! When we speak then we are able to know what the contents of your heart are.

2 Corinthians 4:13 (AMP)
13 Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had, who wrote in Scripture, “I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE.” We also believe, therefore we also speak,

Because we believe then we have to speak because faith has a voice, don’t stifle that voice!
