Faith in Action: Believing the Impossible

Matthew 17:20 NKJV
“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [a]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
What is that situation in your life that seems impossible? Have you given up on it?
Abraham and his wife Sarah were believing God for a child but their situation was impossible. Sarah was barren and to add on to that, both of them were well advanced in years. Being barren was bad enough but now add on to that the fact that even if by chance the bareness issue could be taken care of, she was well past her child bearing year. Abraham still believed that God would give him and Sarah a son and God did after a waiting period of about 25 years.
Do we truly understand the kind of power that God has made available to us through Christ Jesus and that is why we do not believe God for the impossible?
Jesus says that if we have faith, nothing shall be impossible for us and he actually demonstrated that for us through the life he lived here on earth. Now imagine the same power that raised him from the dead lives in us yet many of us have no idea how to activate it so we can accomplish the impossible.
Faith comes by hearing; may we soak ourselves daily in his word that we may grow in faith and may that faith be activated to accomplish the impossible because greater is he who lives in us than he who lives in the word. Remember, nothing shall be impossible to them that believe!
Do you have the faith that you can actually do the impossible? When was the last time you actually had the faith to accomplish the impossible and what happened? What do you need to do to tap into the power of God that is already resident in you?
