Exodus 3:11
11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

The time has come for the children of Israel to be set free from the yoke of slavery and God is sending Moses to go get the job done. Interesting that the first question that Moses asks is “Who am i? In find this interesting because, Moses was raised up as an Egyptian in the house of Pharaoh, Moses was the prince of Egypt only for him to come to the realization that he was not really born of royalty but that he was the son of a slave, he was a Hebrew. So he makes the choice to identify with “his” people in the hopes that he can set them free but they kind of reject him. After killing an Egyptian he flees and now here he is 40 years later taking care of his father in law’s sheep at the back side of a mountain. He fled from Egypt fearing for his life and his people rejected him so really, who is he to go back and set them free? Talk about identity confusion.

Haven’t we all used this excuse one to many times when God directs us to a particular assignment? We look at ourselves and in our own eyes we do not qualify maybe because of past mistakes and a poor self-image that resulted because of being rejected. Excuses no matter how good will keep you and I from attaining the mark that God has set for us. Excuses never got any task accomplished. When God directs us to move in a particular direction or to do a particular thing then it means that He will equip us and provide whatever is needed to see the job done. God never sets up to fail.
Do we have failures in our past? Yes we do, do we feel inadequate for the job? Yes we do if we rely on our own strength and understanding. Remember Jesus said;

Luke 18:27 (AMP)
27 But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

Like Moses have you disqualified yourself from what God wants you to do because you thinking “Who am I anyway?
I am here to remind you that you are a child of the most high God, you are more than a conqueror and greater is He that is in you that he that is the world. When God calls you, then He equips you for victory.
Arise and shine!
