2 Timothy 2:15 AMP
Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.
The word study in the original text is the word strive. Paul is telling Timothy to strive to do his best to present himself to God as a workman who has no reason to be ashamed because he accurately handles and skillfully teaches the word of truth.
This verse is telling us that the importance and attention we give to correctly study Gods word correctly dividing it and applying it will determine how we present ourselves to God.
As a believer you and I must love the word of God. We must not just love to read it, we must become students who study it correctly divide it apply it in our lives and teach it to others as well.
His word contains his truth which when we apply to our lives then we find liberty and freedom.
