Creating new beginnings: The Power of the Blessing

Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the [a]ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he [b]meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the [c]rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

The blessing of God is present and active in the life of every believer but the problem with many of us is that we let what we see on the outside dampen our faith. Over and over in the bible we see the power of the blessing over those who choose to walk with the Lord and the circumstances around them had no power to cancel the blessing of God over their life.

We are living in one of the harshest seasons the world has ever experienced in recent years. The corona virus pandemic has affected the whole globe and people have lost loved ones, jobs and others have had to shut down their businesses. Is this a reason for the righteous to panic and get anxious? No it is not. As the psalmists says, blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked. That talks of you who has made the choice to walk with the Lord! He continues to say that this man shall be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water. We who have made a choice to walk with the Lord are connected to the heavenly economy that never runs dry. God is our source and He is the one who continually waters us.

Even in a season like we are currently going through where it seems dry and hopeless, we shall bring forth our fruit in due season because we are the blessed of the Lord. Your leaf shall not weather and WHATEVER you do shall prosper.

Do not allow the enemy to tell you otherwise and cause you to panic and be anxious. Do not allow him to plant fear in your life to cause you to freeze and do nothing.

The blessing of God applies to you because you are his child. Activate it by faith and walk in it because nothing can nullify the blessing of God that is active in your life as long as you keep walking with him and trusting in him!
