Characteristics of God’s Vision

Luke 1:34 KJV
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

A pastor once told me that many times when God calls you to do something, it will look like one of three things;
Impossible, too expensive or ridiculous. Sometimes its all three combined.
The angel appears to Mary with what we consider good news today and it was, but think about Mary at her time. Pregnant by the Holy Spirit? This had never happened before, and besides if it did happen, how would she explain it especially to Joseph. He would probably divorce her and he almost did if God had not intervened.
Think about God calling Abraham to make him into a great nation and yet his wife is barren and way past the child bearing age, impossible.
Think about God calling Noah to build an ark to preserve his family and animals because a flood is coming: ridiculous too expensive and impossible.
What about Joseph with a call to leadership yet he ends up a slave and to add salt to injury he sinks even lower to become a convict accused of attempted rape; impossible.
I could go on and on because the bible is filled with similar stories and the same still applies today.
Gods vision always seems impossible ridiculous and too expensive because without God we cannot accomplish it. All that God is looking for is faithful men and women who will dare to believe, remember without faith it is impossible to please Him.
What has God called you to accomplish for him? Have you ignored it or given up on it because others have laughed at you and told you it’s ridiculous or impossible or too expensive? What will you do about it?

What has God called you to do?

Does it seem too expensive, impossible or ridiculous or all three combined?

What is your response to Gods call over your life?
